"Free Internet Marketing Newsletter"
"Presented by IM Review Kings Brian Garvin & Jeff West"

This Free Internet Marketing Newsletter is a bit different than any Internet Marketing Newsletter you'll ever read. In fact, I can safely say that a lot of this information you won't even be able to pay for. The reason is, you'll be getting tips and techniques on what Jeff West and Brian Garvin are doing each and every month to build a Virtual Real Estate empire. And you'll learn these as we are actually going through the process of building Virtual Real Estate, one step at a time. You will learn about the Preliminary Research Required, Mindset Needed to Succeed, the work you'll need to put in, Competitor Intelligence Strategies, who and what you need to avoid in this industry to make it and what it takes to succeed.

We will really try hard to get at least one issue out per month, but keep in mind we're super busy actually doing this stuff, as we slide into more and more markets. So as long as you visit this page once each month or so, you should build up an arsenal of knowledge to go out there and conquer the Internet with, as long as you are willing to learn and put in the work. This Internet Marketing Newsletter will primarily focus on Niche Marketing and Virtual Real Estate, Article Writing, Content Manipulation, Content Networks, and Niche Lead Generation via SEO Tactics, since this is now my speciality and I strongly feel this won't change since I strongly believe this is the most assured way to honest, long-term retirement style income. Enjoy!

Internet Marketing Article!  Sept 2008 - Competitor Intelligence Tips

Internet Marketing Article!  Oct 2008 - The VRE Lifestyle

Internet Marketing Article!  Oct 2008 - The VRE Lifestyle

Hello Again,

Sorry this issue was a little late. It's amazing how fast time flies when you're building Virtual Real Estate full time. This month was much better for us than any other month before. We've been doing VRE or Virtual Real Estate for just about a year now. Of course this time last year we were just learning the ropes. In the last month we've sketched out a great retirement plan by building VRE. It might take another 2-3 years to really get where we want to be but hey, who is going anywhere? This month spelled progress for us. September the business made about $950.00. Last month we made just under $2,000.00. This is very impressive since this is totally passive residual income, even more passive than sending out to a mailing list. Don't get me wrong, you should have a mailing list, that's icing on the cake.

But our personal long term goal is to eventually build a business that makes a six figure income with no mailings, totally passive income we don't have to hustle for. The first thing I want to do is speak a little bit about the VRE Mindset and the mindset you'll have to employ if you want to become successful with Adsense and VRE.

The VRE Mindset

Remember on the Battlefield the person who will save your life more than likely is your Sergeant or Squad Leader, not your Commanding Officer or Base Commanding General. What I mean by this is "learning" from someone who makes $400,000, $1,000,000 or $10,000,000 a year might not be your most productive path. I say this because they've had time to make strong connections and learn so many other things that you can't justify your progress on a day to day basis with most of them because they will sell you expensive products and spin you in 50 different directions, leaving you with these essential skills that you'll still need to learn.

These people have honed and refined this skill for years and don't plan on stopping anytime soon, there's too much money in jerking people around. And to be honest Jeff and I don't blame them. They saw a way to make big money quick, and used that opportunity to line their own pockets. And we're not necessarily saying these people are selling you bad products, just products you don't really need or will never use in many (but not all) cases, money much better spent on articles which will produce more and more traffic for you forever. Save your marketing budget for something you can show definitive progress with and let your marketing numbers speak for themselves.

Also these "gurus" have expensive houses and cars they need to pay for. And to get the personal coaching from them you'll end up spending upwards of 5-10k or more. You could do this if you have a deep pocketbook and you'll probably get some good results but a true business is based on fundamental principles anyway so you don't really need it. The false illusion of hand holding and hidden magic makes people in the back of their minds feel they are safer building a business if they "learn from the best". This is simply not true.

I want to mention that Virtual Real Estate is not for everyone. In order to make it in VRE, expect to work your tail off for the first year at 8 hours or more per day for less than minimum wage. You can imagine how tough this would be for someone who is making for example $45k yearly in the Brick & Mortar world. They would falsely think of VRE as a major setback, instead of choosing the higher ground and working it part time and adding another income stream. Your time building out your sites will be HUGELY compensated for you in the long run, but you won't feel or see this right off the bat unfortunately. Eventually after a year or so it starts to turn around and you see just a speck of the big picture and how you can retire with VRE, and it's the most beautiful feeling in the world.

Jeff and myself are just starting to see this, as now we're making a sale of something just about every day. If you add up our adsense and other checks we cleared just under 2k this month in net profit. And remember most of this will come month after month without us doing anything. Plus our Trivita check is over $250.00 per month now after autoship costs, and we haven't actively worked the program in six months. We don't twist peoples arms to come in. We simply built a ton of content around our offer and let people decide for themselves if they want to join us. This is a form of Attraction Marketing, and Jeff and myself made hundreds of thousands of dollars this way before most other people you hear about today have and before Attraction Marketing was such a hot topic.

You can make a lot of money with Joint Ventures sure, as well as email marketing. But the best way to build an email marketing list is through Virtual Real Estate and SEO. The problem I see with Joint Ventures is you always owe someone something. I like the idea of building a self sustaining system that will pay me whether I'm sending out email or not. And this will cost me 2-3 more years of work, but save me 30 years of it down the road. I built one of the largest Internet Marketing lists on the Internet back in 2001 combining email marketing with SEO. Unfortunately the list was corrupted on the server side and I lost it. We'll never lose our list again because we now use the Aweber Autoresponder. So yes build your list but do it through Virtual Real Estate simultaneously.

In the new VRE world, which is a save haven from most of the big Internet Marketing Gurus, is more of a Doo-Roo world, all that matters is what you can produce. VRE is the one way you can go right over their heads, spend very little and see great long term results. You won't get the fame, but you'll get the cash. You only get paid for value you deliver to the end user, period, and that's done through building more and more VRE. I almost never see the biggest Gurus take the time to teach average folks VRE, and I know why.

Because in a year or two of doing it, you'll become independent and will no longer have a need for any of their products. VRE is more about walking the walk than talking the talk. Most of the Gurus I know are making a lot of money selling very expensive products, and are too busy to contact us. This is great because it gives me the golden opportunity I need to build my VRE Empire without interference. And I could redirect their products to our products. One thing about VRE is that it takes a lot of time, I mean all the time you can muster, the more the better. But realistically if you spend 4-6 hours per day on it for a full year, you should start seeing some very encouraging improvements.

What Does it Take to Build a VRE Empire?

Commitment

It will take 1-3 years to start seeing life changing results, depending on whether you work on your VRE Empire full-time like Jeff West and myself choose to do, or just do it part time, say if you have a full-time job. No seminars, $2,497 mentoring programs or anything else will get you out of this work or commitment. Most people screw up because they can't wrap their minds around this concept. You'll have to put in your own work, carry your own load, that'll be the ticket to your success. The best way to make this work for you is to follow someone actively involved in building VRE full-time. This letter will document on a monthly basis our successes, failures and what we do to build our dream income and VRE Empire.

The Benefits of VRE are as Follows:

1.) No JV's required

2.) You have the option to stay away from the direct one-on-one selling part of the business. You'll never directly sell someone something or ever have to twist someones arm to buy anything from you.

3.) Built on Attraction Marketing Principles vs. Pull Marketing

4.) You have proprietary control of everything. This is the most important, since no one can con you out of your time or money, since you built everything yourself.

5.) You are building a business that lasts. Even the most highly respected companies out there have been known to crash and burn. With VRE you make a tiny bit of money from a lot of places. This further protects you and your income.

6.) Inexpensive. Sure there is a little investment required, but you can be up and rolling in VRE with just a grand or so to start. Think about this before you spend 5k on the next hottest mentoring package. Articles will become your biggest long-term investment so budget and keep reinvesting in those. Jeff and myself are building an entire empire with not one cent invested in adsense or paid advertising. Our empire is 100% content driven from start to finish.

7.) You can't buy your way into VRE. Sure you can outsource, but you have to learn it yourself first or I promise you they will mess up your project bad. And the only way to stay on top of people is to know it yourself. This is more of an art than a skill so anyone serious won't have many on their trail. I don't recommend outsourcing for the first couple years, since you want to master the business yourself because if you outsource you'll have to teach your employees how to do this. For example if you buy 200 articles for $1,000.00, it will take you 2-4 months to properly process these. So as an individual spending $10,000 on articles won't help you. We recommend you get your articles written in batches of 20-100 at a time. We'll go over this a lot more in a future issue.

Patience

I would honestly say that the first six months is the hardest. You won't see much of anything as far as profits go (we made less than $200 a month our first six months), and you'll be working hard and spending money on content (articles), domain names and some software. You need to find a place in the back of your mind that will allow you to cope with this and understand that this is delayed gratification and that the results of your valuable labor won't kick in overnight. By making a serious commitment, and getting on a strict schedule to build out your sites, either on a part-time or full-time basis, will go an awful long way toward increasing your chances for success.

VRE is a Very Lonely Job

None of the fame but all of the income. You'll find as you really start to build Virtual Real Estate, that a lot of the tasks you do run hours on end and you'll have to find something to keep your mind occupied while you're doing these monotonous tasks. For example, I love listening to music while I do this. This doesn't apply to all the tasks, just some of them. Also get use to tasks with time tables and deadlines to get these tasks completed. It's very easy to become overwhelmed when trying to build out sites. Get your daily tasks done then walk away from the computer and always make at least an hour or two per day for yourself, even on your busiest day. I call it Brian time, you might call it family time. If you make this a marathon and not a sprint your chances of success increase daily.

The Lifestyle of a VRE Pro

The lifestyle of a VRE Pro will become evident in 2-3 years after you start building it, maybe sooner if you're lucky but we don't deal in luck, which I think is synonymous with hype, we deal in reality and what works and real numbers. You'll have thousands a month pouring into your bank account. You will not need to get on the phone with anyone to make this happen, or send out any other offers. It's a great, secure feeling you just can't describe until it becomes reality. You'll eventually start laughing when the Guru's send out there offers because you know you'll have one big up on all these marketers.

Next issue we'll get more into specifics regarding what software we use to build out our sites and all the total costs involved, and they are not anywhere near as much as you may think. There's a lot to learn to do exactly what we do, and we don't want to overwhelm anyone.

Have a Happy Halloween ;0

Thanks,

Brian Garvin

Internet Marketing Article!  Sept 2008 - Competitor Intelligence Tips

Dear Marketing Friend,

This is our first issue of the Internet Marketing Kings Monthly Newsletter. I really thank you for taking the time to read this first issue. I can promise you, you'll learn a lot from us on each issue without ever having to pay for anything. In this issue, we will cover Competitive Intelligence Fundamentals. Some of you may already be Advanced Internet Marketers, and if this is the case, I'm sure you'll still pick up some great tips.

There are several things Jeff West and myself look at when trying to decide which market or markets we want to tap into. And before we do, we like to see what we're up against. Here are a few little tricks we use almost every day. Before we enter a market, we want to take a look at 2-3 successful websites in that market and drill down and see what we can find on them.

Find Out How Big a Website Is

Competitive Intelligence Tip #1

When we want to see how many pages a website has, we type the following command in google. For illustration purposes lets say we're checking out IM Review Kings. So I'd type in this command into Google.

site:www.imreviewkings.com

You'll end up seeing something like this:

Results 1 - 10 of about 763 from www.imreviewkings.com. (0.13 seconds)

In this case it shows us as having 763 active pages listed in the SERP's, or Search Engine Results Pages.

Find Out What Google Page Rank a Website Has

Competitive Intelligence Tip #2

If you visit http://toolbar.google.com you'll be presented with a bunch of different items you can download free. But what you really want to do is download their free PageRank Display Software. Google issues PR or PageRank, They give websites a Page Rank of anywhere from 0-9 depending on many factors, such as age, how many backlinks a website has, how relevant and on-topic your webpage content is, etc.. Basically Page Rank is a measure of how important a site is to google.

A website with a PR3 is decent, a PR4 is pretty darn good and a PR5 is strong. Our goal is to get our top 6 websites we own all a PR5 within 3 years or so. It takes a lot of work and requires some specialized knowledge to do this, but it's doable. Another cool feature regarding the Google PageRank Toolbar is if you look above you'll see a small little black arrow that's pointing downward directly to the right of the image icon. If you click this, you'll see a small drop-down menu. One of the options I like to use is the Cached Snapshot of Page Icon which will let me know if the page was cached, and if it was, it will tell me the last time the page was cached.

Sometimes I'll use this feature because I'll want to take one of my articles on my website and submit them to other article directories for extra backlinks. But I don't want to submit any articles I pay for until google finds them on my site first. By using this feature I don't have to wonder when I should submit these articles because this feature will tell me.

Find Out How Many Backlinks a Website Has

Competitive Intelligence Tip #3

The best place to find out how many Backlinks any Website has is to visit a site called http://www.marketleap.com and use a tool called their Link Popularity Checker. It's much easier to build backlinks using Yahoo than it is google. Yahoo counts inner links pointing to each other as well as multiple inbound links from the same Website or IP Address. Google will only give you credit for one link per unique domain and Google is much pickier on how they judge these links for possible inclusion. Try typing in 5-10 sites you've been curious about for a while to get the hang of it.

Find Out How Much Traffic A Website Gets

Competitive Intelligence Tip #4

All you have to do to figure out how much Website Traffic a Website receives each month is to visit http://www.compete.com and enter a few different URL's and compare the results from each of these. You'll quickly get the real deal and know more precisely what you are up against.

View Alexa Traffic Rankings

Competitive Intelligence Tip #5

Millions of people download the Free Alexa Toolbar, and because of this, you can easily view where any Website ranks with reasonably good accuracy. They rank millions of websites and assign them a number, the lower the score the higher ranked the website is on Alexa. You can visit http://www.alexa.com/site/ds/top_500 and start searching.

Find Out How Old A Website Is

Competitive Intelligence Tip #6

This is really easy to find out. There are a lot of places, mostly Domain Registrars that offer this free service but the one that we use is located at http://www.networksolutions.com. Look toward the bottom of the page in the Resources Section for a WHOIS Search link and click that. Enter the domain, and you'll be able to view when it was originally registered. That does have some bearing on Competition because a good part of Googles Quality score has to do with how long a Website has been on the Internet.

Get Free Google Alerts

Competitive Intelligence Tip #7

Make sure you visit http://www.google.com/alerts and signup for their free alert service. Type in any keyword phrase or full URL that you want to observe getting activity. Each time this phrase or URL shows up on the internet, they will give you immediate, daily or weekly alerts for each phrase. This is a really cool free service I highly recommend.

Why Brian Garvin and Jeff West Use SEO Elite

Competitive Intelligence Tip #8

The other tool we use to spy on our competitors is a software tool called SEO Elite by Brad Callen. To be honest, they offer 8 different features but we only use two on a consistent basis, which more than pays for the tool. Luckily there aren't any recurring fees associated with this software.

We use the Analyze Backlinks feature as well as the Find Out Where Your Website is Ranked for a Particular Keyword feature. All you do is enter the keyword and the URL and which websites you want to find, and finally choose the Search Engines you want it to search for, and SEO Elite will search the first 1,000 results in the SERP's and let you know where you rank on that keyword. This is very serious Competitor Intelligence data that will allow us to compete on any keyword we want.

There is other software and solutions out there to Analyze Competitors, but these are all we need and use on a daily basis, or every day we're working.
