While there are people who claim affiliate marketing just doesn’t work as a viable source of income, those people are wrong. The problem with most people who have tried affiliate marketing and failed to earn money is that they either didn’t know what they were doing or they had unrealistic expectations. The good news is the Super Affiliate Handbook can help both types of people, plus people who have not yet tried their hand at affiliate marketing. Learning the Basics People looking for easy answers or get-rich-quick promises won’t find them in the Super Affiliate Handbook. Instead, you have to be prepared to work and to make some financial investment in setting up your web site in order to generate the traffic you need to earn money through this venture. If you’re willing to do that then you’ll undoubtedly find the Super Affiliate Handbook to be an easy and informative read. The best part, however, is that Rosalind Gardner, the book’s author, understands that you’re going to need help at every step of the way. She doesn’t just say find an online merchant, make an agreement, and set up your site. Instead, she helps her readers find the best affiliate programs on the Internet so they won’t be working hard for tiny commissions from questionable online merchants. They can learn how to work with some of the top companies in the field, such as Sony and USA Today. For many people, the idea that you can earn $50 from one transaction as an affiliate marketer will complete change their perspective of the industry. Giving You the Information You Need to Succeed After the first 40 pages which detail almost everything you need to know to get started, the remaining almost 200 pages will go over the rest of the information that will help you succeed in affiliate marketing, including learning how to drive traffic to your site. Gardner also explains why traffic is so important to your site and provides a number of ways you can promote your site both on and off the Internet. However, there is one potential drawback. While Gardner does cover lots of methods, she devotes most of her discussion to pay per click search engines. These can be a great source for driving traffic to your site but you may not want to rely on these engines as your primary or sole method of traffic generation. Reading at least one additional book with the Super Affiliate Handbook may give you a more balanced idea of your options and how to use them effectively. Otherwise, there really isn’t any reason not to give the Super Affiliate Handbook a try. The Bottom Line If you’re interested in making money through affiliate marketing or if you just want to find a residual income stream that can pretty much run on its own once you get it started then this book is a great starting place. The book isn’t comprehensive but it’s a good introduction to the topic and will help you start off on the right foot. |
